Butterfly Network Appoints Victor Ku as Chief Technology Officer

BURLINGTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Butterfly Network, Inc. (NYSE: BFLY), a digital health company transforming care through portable, semiconductor-based ultrasound technology and intuitive software, today announced the appointment of Victor Ku as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Victor will join the company in late September and will be responsible for leading Butterfly’s global technology strategy, product development, and innovation roadmap.

Victor brings more than two decades of leadership experience across regulated, industrial, and high-tech environments. He has led and scaled global engineering organizations across the U.S., Europe, and Asia, delivering advanced imaging systems that integrate embedded IoT, AI-based analytics, and complex sensor technologies.

Most recently, Victor served as Vice President of R&D, Engineering, and PMO at Headwall Photonics, where he led the development of hyperspectral imaging products for applications in remote sensing, machine vision, and precision agriculture. His previous leadership roles include senior positions at Teledyne FLIR and EFI, where he oversaw global teams delivering high-performance, hardware-software integrated platforms in demanding commercial and regulated markets. Victor holds a PhD in Engineering Science and Electrical Engineering from Oxford University and an Executive Certificate in Managing Product Platforms from MIT.
