Black Mountain to offer $9 Lift Tickets on Saturday, May 3.
JACKSON, N.H.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--After a remarkable comeback season, Black Mountain announced that it will be able to offer lift serviced skiing and riding on Saturday, May 3 for the latest closing in its 90 year history. Saturday is also the pre-planned 90th Year Birthday Celebration including fireworks, live music, food/drink specials, and a jump jam and aprés party at the Alpine Cabin. Lift will spin from 10am to 7pm. This new closing date makes Black Mountain the only open ski area in the state of New Hampshire, and one of the last across the entire East Coast.
To celebrate the historic ski area's 90th operating season, Lift Tickets for the day can be purchased for a special price of $9 with top-to-bottom skiing on the historic double chair from 10am-7pm. Foot traffic can ride the triple to access the mid-mountain après scene and final DJ party at the Alpine Cabin and join the party.
This event will wrap up a transformative season for Black Mountain, after Indy Pass and Entabeni Director Erik Mogensen stepped in as General Manager to lead the resort's operations and save it from closure. "We've been laying the groundwork for our longest season since day 1," says Erik Mogensen. "We improved snowmaking systems, restored consistent summit access via the double chair, and rebuilt skier amenities/services. Now we're planning for a closing date on May 3. It’s not an easy task for a southern-facing mountain with low elevation."
Black Mountain announced pricing for 25/26 Season Passes, starting at $449 Adult (22+), $249 Youth (6-21), and $0 Child (5 & under) for Unlimited Passes. Off-Peak Passes are available for additional cost savings, along with 6-month Payment Plans offered with any pass purchase. Passholders will have the first chance to sign up for Black Mountain's community ownership offering, once details are published in the fall.
"We are going to have one heck of a party, celebrating the comeback of Black Mountain and the culture of skiing. Being open matters," Says Mogensen.
