About BowFriends
BowFriends is a boutique dedicated to beautiful bows, hair accessories, and thoughtfully curated products, created with a purpose that extends far beyond retail. One hundred percent of net proceeds from BowFriends support the WeLoveYouConnieFoundation, a charitable organization committed to advancing research and clinical trials for Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), one of the deadliest forms of childhood brain cancer.
The foundation was established by Michela and Marco Guglietti in loving memory of their daughter, Connie Monica Guglietti, who passed away in October 2016 at just eight years old after a courageous battle with DIPG.
Despite affecting hundreds of children worldwide each year, DIPG remains one of the most difficult childhood cancers to treat, with limited treatment options and historically little research funding. Determined to create hope for future families, the Guglietti family launched the WeLoveYouConnieFoundation to help identify, fund, and accelerate the world’s most promising DIPG research initiatives and clinical trials.
Since its inception, the foundation has committed more than $11 million toward advancing pediatric brain cancer research, with $8 million of such already invested in leading hospitals, research institutions, and clinical trials around the world. These investments are helping scientists and physicians pursue innovative treatments and improve outcomes for children diagnosed with this devastating disease.
