Located at the EdgeConneX Houston data center campus, the Training Center is a fully functioning, liquid to the chip, purpose-built, data center learning environment designed to bring learning closer to operations, standardize training across regions, and accelerate readiness in an increasingly complex industry. The facility marked its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting event on April 2, 2026, with the first training class already underway.

Operational safety is at the heart of EdgeConneX and the new Global Training Center is dedicated to delivering consistent, role-based, hands-on training that strengthens operational excellence, supports scalable growth, and prepares teams for emerging technologies, including AI, high-density deployments, and advanced cooling solutions. From hands-on training in advanced cooling technologies to real-world simulations of high-density AI environments, the Training Center equips our teams with the knowledge and skills to operate safely and effectively in any scenario.

The facility serves as a global enablement hub, focusing on three core areas: Operational and Technical Enablement, Workforce Development, and industry leadership.

Key objectives of the Training Center include:

  • Closing the industry talent gap through immersive, real-world learning
  • Preparing teams for emerging technologies such as liquid-to-chip cooling and high-density AI environments
  • Standardizing processes, language, and best practices globally
  • Fostering a culture of continuous education, professional development, and operational safety

As a cornerstone of EdgeConneX people-first strategy, this exciting new concept has been developed in collaboration with Salute, a leader in AI operations and comprehensive data center services. As a key EdgeConneX partner, Salute’s advanced operating model, rooted in military precision, resilience, and accountability, complements EdgeConneX commitment to operational excellence. Together, the organizations are investing in hands-on upskilling, consistent onboarding, and long-term career growth to reduce human error and increase operational readiness.

As AI infrastructure introduces new operational risks and complexity, the EdgeConneX Global Training Center provides a shared space where EdgeConneX and Salute teams can collaborate, practice, and prepare for the demands of modern data center operations.
