RETTC Unveils First-of-Its-Kind AI Governance Framework for Rental Housing and Technology Partners

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--At OPTECH 2025, the premier event for innovation in rental housing operations, technology, marketing, and data, the Real Estate Technology and Transformation Center (RETTC) released a new Artificial Intelligence (AI) Governance Framework for rental housing and technology partners. This first-of-its-kind framework was developed by RETTC’s AI Working Group, comprised of a diverse group of housing providers and technology innovators and is a bold new blueprint for responsible innovation and housing affordability.

AI and emerging technologies are driving solutions to the nation’s long-standing housing challenges, including affordability, access, and resident experience, and this framework is designed to promote responsible innovation, protect consumers, and uphold critical pillars like the Fair Housing Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act and the myriad state and local housing laws that guide rental housing in communities across the country.
