USAFacts to Unveil 50-Foot Interactive Installation on the National Mall to Demonstrate Data’s Power to Clarify Today’s Political Headlines

BELLEVUE, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--USAFacts, the nonpartisan, not-for-profit civic data initiative founded by Steve Ballmer, will debut a giant, 50-foot inflated version of an everyday object on the Washington Monument Grounds. The striking installation is designed to shine a light on how reliable data can cut through confusion and clarify today’s headlines, helping citizens better understand the facts behind issues like immigration, education, the economy and the federal budget.

In today’s news cycle, distorted political headlines often slip past us without question. This activation shows how data can restore clarity and give people the tools they need to make informed decisions about the issues shaping their lives.

This activation shows how data can restore clarity and give people the tools they need to make informed decisions about the issues shaping their lives.”

The activation includes interactive signage that presents clear, contextual facts on the nation’s most pressing issues, along with trivia questions to test government knowledge and USAFacts giveaways. The goal: spark conversation about how reliable data can cut through confusion and bring clarity to the issues influencing today’s headlines.
