Unite Us Partners with Washington State Department of Corrections to Launch Resource Network for Reentry Support and Recidivism Reduction

The Washington State DOC will leverage Unite Us’ closed-loop referral system, facilitating seamless connections to vital resources, promoting self-sufficiency, and fostering positive outcomes while reducing recidivism.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Unite Us, the nation’s trusted technology partner integrating health and community-based care, has partnered with the Washington State Department of Corrections (DOC) to launch the Unite Us – Washington DOC Network, a new statewide integrated platform designed to support individuals reentering their communities after incarceration across Washington state. The network will connect people leaving incarceration to essential community resources, helping promote self-sufficiency and reduce recidivism, while strengthening public safety across Washington state.

Unite Us’ infrastructure serves as a critical tool to securely integrate service providers in real time across the Unite Us – Washington DOC Network:

  • Create a unified “one-stop shop" where both DOC staff and community members have access to the same, consistent, and vetted resources—verified by Unite Us to provide reliable and up-to-date information.
  • Facilitate seamless collaboration between divisions within DOC, enhancing continuity of care and fostering a shared commitment to positive outcomes.
  • Continuously grow, offering an expanding continuum of services to proactively reduce barriers to successful reentry and further lower recidivism rates.
  • Enable secure communication and closed-loop referrals with in-network community partners, streamlining service coordination.
  • Deliver actionable, data-driven insights on program and service utilization, helping identify what resources are most effective and in demand.

“Our partnership with the Washington State Department of Corrections marks a significant step forward in building healthier, safer communities,” said Taylor Justice, president and co-founder at Unite Us. “By providing an integrated coordinated care network, we are not just offering a directory; we are creating a systemic approach to support individuals during a critical transition period, fostering greater success and reducing barriers to long-term stability.”

This initiative underscores the Washington State DOC's commitment to innovation and collaboration in its mission to promote positive change and enhance public safety.
