This highly anticipated event brings together leaders, innovators, educators, and future visionaries to celebrate the achievements within Manitoba’s thriving bioscience sector.

As part of the evenings program, we are proud to recognize the winners of this year’s awards, celebrating their outstanding contributions and commitment to advancing the bioscience industry. We are excited to announce the following recipients of this year’s awards.

  • Most Promising Bioscience Student of the Year: Simon “the Scientist” Monteith
    This award honours an outstanding student whose academic excellence and passion for bioscience promise a bright future in the field. Simon Monteith, known as “Simon the Scientist,” has captivated audiences with his engaging live science sessions, inspiring young minds to explore the wonders of science through hands-on experiments and interactive learning.
  • Outstanding Leadership in Bioscience of the Year: Kevin Danner
    This award celebrates an individual who has exhibited exceptional leadership and vision, driving the growth and success of the bioscience sector. As CEO of Carbon Lock Tech, Kevin Danner is spearheading the development of innovative solutions for carbon dioxide removal and sequestration, positioning the company as a key player in the fight against climate change.
  • Bioscience Educator of the Year: Dr. Anju Bajaj, Ph.D.
    This award honours a trailblazer in education who has inspired and empowered youth to explore the world of science. Dr. Anju Bajaj has created unparalleled opportunities for students to engage with science, fostering curiosity, creativity, and a passion for discovery. A dedicated advocate, she actively works to ensure that students from all backgrounds have access to STEM education, empowering the next generation of innovators and leaders.
