*ADVISORY FOR PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY* for September 9, 2024

--(BUSINESS WIRE)--On Monday, September 9, Citizens for a New Delaware Way, a political action committee, is hosting a rally with renowned civil rights leader Reverend Al Sharpton to stress the importance of Delawareans making their voices heard through voting in this year’s Democratic primary on September 10. Following the rally, Citizens for a New Delaware Way will deploy canvassers in surrounding neighborhoods to knock on doors urging voters to oppose Bethany Hall-Long’s bid for Governor and support Matt Meyer’s candidacy.

Reverend Sharpton will join the PAC which has been tirelessly advocating for change in Delaware’s legislative and judicial system. Their recent advocacy has centered on opposing Lieutenant Governor Bethany Hall-Long’s bid for Governor. The PAC has made residents aware of Hall-Long's unethical behavior, as no one, including her, is above the law. Rev. Sharpton will reiterate the inequity and leniency that Hall-Long is being afforded.

Leading up to the election, Citizens for a New Delaware Way has invested more than a million dollars in media campaigns and canvassing efforts across Wilmington and beyond to educate voters on their choices this election cycle and to support candidates who will prioritize judicial diversity, equity, and transparency in government.
