2026 Travelers Championship Generates More Than $5 Million for Charity

HARTFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Travelers Companies, Inc. (NYSE: TRV) today announced that the 2026 Travelers Championship generated more than $5 million for more than 270 charities – both tournament records. The PGA TOUR Signature Event was won by Viktor Hovland in a Monday playoff and marked the 20th consecutive tournament with Travelers as title sponsor.

Since 2007, the Travelers Championship has generated more than $40 million for over 1,000 nonprofits in the region.

“This year’s Travelers Championship saw record support for charity and crowds that reminded us why TPC River Highlands is one of the greatest venues in the sport,” said Alan Schnitzer, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Travelers. “It has been an honor to serve as title sponsor for the past 20 tournaments, and we look forward to making next year’s even more memorable. Congratulations to Viktor on a hard-fought win over one of the strongest fields in golf, and thank you to everyone who made this week such a success.”

The Travelers Championship donates 100% of its net proceeds to nonprofits. The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, based in Ashford, Connecticut, is this year’s primary beneficiary. The organization provides a traditional summer camp experience for children with serious illnesses. Many other nonprofits – spanning arts and culture, education, food insecurity, healthcare, housing, human services, mental health, and science and technology – will benefit through the Travelers Championship’s Birdies for Charity program.

“As tremendous as the competition was on the course, the Travelers Championship is about so much more than what happens on the leaderboard,” said Andy Bessette, Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer at Travelers. “The fans, the volunteers, the local businesses, the community partners – everyone helps generate millions of dollars for hundreds of charities. That is what drives us to make the tournament better every year, and a big reason why we will be back next June.”

The 2027 Travelers Championship is scheduled to take place June 21-27 at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut. For more information, visit TravelersChampionship.com.
