Aviation Institute of Maintenance to Premiere First-Ever Aviation Trade School Episode of Amazon Prime Video’s The College Tour

Special screening event at the school’s New Jersey campus will feature Amazing Race winner and series host Alex Boylan, students and a live panel discussion

HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM) will host the premiere event for its episode of Amazon Prime Video’s hit series The College Tour on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at AIM’s AMT Campus in Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey. The event marks AIM as the first aircraft maintenance trade school featured on the nationally recognized series.

The evening will include red carpet arrivals, step-and-repeat photo opportunities, an exclusive screening of the episode and a live panel hosted by Alex Boylan alongside AIM students featured in the episode.

Viewers will get an inside look at AIM’s aviation maintenance training programs and the growing demand for skilled aviation professionals. Through firsthand student perspectives, audiences will see how AIM prepares students for in-demand careers as aviation maintenance technicians through FAA-aligned training and real-world experience.

The premiere comes as airlines and aviation employers continue investing in the next generation of skilled maintenance technicians to support the future of air travel and meet growing workforce demand. Recent industry analysis projects the global shortage of aviation maintenance technicians could reach approximately 60,000 by 2029, underscoring the growing need for workforce development and training programs across the aviation industry.

“We’re proud to spotlight the students and instructors helping shape the next generation of aviation maintenance professionals,” said Jason Pfaff, Chief Executive Officer of the Aviation Institute of Maintenance. “At a time when students and families are reevaluating the return on investment of traditional higher education, this episode showcases how career-focused training can create direct pathways into high-demand careers in economically critical industries like aviation maintenance.”

Hosted by Emmy-nominated producer and Amazing Race winner Alex Boylan, The College Tour provides an inside look at schools and career-focused programs across the country through the voices of students and campus leaders.

“One of the most rewarding parts of The College Tour is giving students the opportunity to share their stories in an authentic way,” said Alex Boylan, host of The College Tour. “This episode gives viewers an inside look at the passion, discipline and hands-on experience that define the AIM community, while highlighting the skilled trades as a strong alternative pathway to traditional higher education and the exciting career opportunities available in aviation maintenance.”
