Western Window Systems donates product to C4 Foundation project in support of active-duty Navy SEALs and their families

MESA GRANDE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Western Window Systems, part of the MITER Brands portfolio and a leading manufacturer of moving glass walls and windows that bring indoor and outdoor spaces together, with the support of MITER Foundation, its charitable arm, recently donated more than 40 windows and doors to C4 Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports active-duty Navy SEALs and their families. The windows and doors will be used in the construction of six new bungalows at the C4 Ranch in Mesa Grande, California.

“We are deeply appreciative of the sacrifices the members of our military and armed forces have made for our country, and the best way to show our gratitude is by giving back," said Mike DeSoto, Chief Operating Officer of MITER Brands.

This first-of-its-kind, 560-acre ranch and sanctuary was created in 2018 to honor the legacy of Charles Humphrey Keating IV, or “C4”, who heroically gave his life in Iraq defending America’s freedom on May 3, 2016. Designed to strengthen communication, restore family bonds, and mend invisible wounds, the C4 Foundation Ranch currently features one cabin with three bedrooms, as well as three Airstreams available to active-duty Navy SEALs and their families during programs that offer retreat and support.

Due to increasing demand for its services, the ranch has recently begun expanding its on-site accommodations by constructing six new private bungalows. The project will effectively double C4’s capacity to serve the active-duty Navy SEAL community and is scheduled for completion in fall 2026. In 2025, C4 Foundation hosted 98 family retreats and held 16 specialty workshops.

In support of the expansion project, Phoenix-based Western Window Systems provided windows and doors to outfit the new bungalows. Products included the Series 7900 Swinging Door, Series 7665 Pass-Through Awning Window, and Series 7600 Angled Multi-Sliding Door, among others.

The new bungalows will encourage camaraderie through shared deck space, while also providing attendees with private space to unwind alone or with their spouses and families, with some offering unobstructed views of the Cleveland National Forest.

“When one of our dealers presented this initiative to our team, we knew we wanted to get involved in any way that we could,” said Mike DeSoto, Chief Operating Officer of MITER Brands. “We are deeply appreciative of the sacrifices the members of our military and armed forces have made for our country, and the best way to show our gratitude is by giving back. With Navy SEAL families being presented with a tough transition between combat and home, we couldn’t think of a better organization to support than one that can offer these unique opportunities to build fortitude against challenges large and small.”

The relationship and collaboration between C4 and Western Window Systems began when DeSoto, who has a residence just blocks away from C4’s Coronado, California headquarters, was introduced to the organization and identified the close alignment between its mission and MITER Foundation’s Heroes Support pillar.

“We are incredibly grateful to Western Window Systems and MITER Foundation for their generous donation supporting the construction of six new guest bungalows at the C4 Ranch,” said Dave Hansen, Director of Ranch Operations for C4 Foundation and retired Navy SEAL. “These spaces are being built to give active-duty Navy SEALs and their families a place to reconnect, restore, and strengthen the bonds that sustain them through the demands of service. Partnerships like this are critical to helping us expand our capacity and continue delivering meaningful impact to the Naval Special Warfare community.”
