Pivot Bio Releases 2025 Field Performance Data Demonstrating Consistent Yield Gains and Synthetic Nitrogen Displacement While Lowering Fertilizer Costs

New insights from PROVEN® G3 and CERT-N™ show strong win rates, yield performance and returns amid ongoing nitrogen volatility

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Pivot Bio, one of the world’s leading innovative agtech companies, today released results from its 2025 field performance data, highlighting the role of leading nitrogen fixing technologies as a weatherproof, cost-effective solution for growers navigating ongoing market and price volatility.

“Growers today are operating in a nitrogen environment that’s far more volatile and complex than it was even a few years ago,” said Travis Frey, chief technology officer at Pivot Bio. “Over the past several seasons, our customers have taught us a tremendous amount about how to effectively use our products. We’ve learned alongside them, and those insights led to the launch of our best management practices last year and are shaping the development of our next-generation products for this year and into the future.

“Our 2025 field performance data reinforces what we’ve seen in the field. When our products are used with our best management practices, our proprietary gene-edited microbes continue fixing nitrogen, even in the presence of other fertilizer sources. That makes them a proven, cost-effective part of a modern crop nutrition strategy, and a powerful way to help growers reduce uncertainty.”

In 134 field trials with 129 growers nationwide, corn producers using PROVEN® G3 replaced an average of 33 pounds of traditional nitrogen per acre and gained a 2.1 bushel-per-acre yield advantage as compared to the grower’s standard practices.

Overall win rates exceeded 90 percent, with consistent nutrition delivery at the plant root when the plants yield potential establishment is most critical, regardless of weather and soil type. This represents nearly a doubling of win rates in just two years.

PROVEN G3’s performance is driven by its three modes of action, which deliver nitrogen directly at the root, enhance nutrient uptake and amplify yield potential throughout critical growth stages.

Pivot Bio also shared updated insights from CERT-N™ cotton trials conducted across the 2024 and 2025 seasons. In trials, representing over 30,000 acres, growers who replaced up to 20 percent of their traditional nitrogen with CERT-N achieved average lint yield increases of more than 50 pounds per acre, along with returns exceeding $30 per acre. Yield and economic win rates surpassed 85 percent – a huge milestone for the first year of any new product launch at scale.

“For both corn and cotton, these results show growers can have performance and dependability,” said Frey. “Pivot Bio products are helping growers manage risk while keeping nitrogen available when crops need it most.”

Pivot Bio continues to make its field performance data publicly available through its Proven It® website. To view the 2025 field performance data, visit https://www.pivotbio.com/provenit.
