Sodexo Appoints Joe Ganci as CEO, Corporate Services and Energy & Resources, U.S.

NORTH BETHESDA, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sodexo, a leading provider in high-quality dining and facilities management solutions, today announced the promotion of Joe Ganci to CEO, Corporate Services and Energy & Resources (E&R) for the U.S. In this expanded role, Ganci will oversee Sodexo’s operations across both segments, working closely with roughly 400 clients representing a diverse range of industries across more than 1,000 sites. He will report to Thierry Delaporte in his current dual capacity as Chief Executive Officer of Sodexo North America and serve on the North America Leadership Team. Ganci most recently served as President and Chief Operating Officer for Corporate Services and E&R. He succeeds David Bailey.

Ganci will lead efforts to strengthen client relationships, elevate service delivery, and accelerate growth in major metropolitan and fast-growing U.S. markets. He will also oversee the continued expansion of Sodexo’s best-in-class branded offerings, including The Good Eating Company, Modern Recipe, and Kitchen Works, and drive strategic initiatives that enhance operational performance across corporate, energy, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and life sciences sectors.

“Joe has a deep understanding of the market and what it takes to deliver a world-class workplace experience for our clients, their employees, and the communities they serve,” said Delaporte. “As we sharpen our focus on growth and performance in the U.S., his leadership will be instrumental in accelerating the progress we expect to achieve in the months ahead.”

Ganci has spent more than 25 years with Sodexo, holding operational roles of increasing responsibility in the company’s Campus and Corporate Services segments. Over the course of his career, he has been widely recognized for his operational discipline, client-centric approach, and ability to drive performance across complex environments and has played a central role in advancing Sodexo’s integrated services strategy—bringing food and facilities together to create an elevated workplace experience that inspires productivity, well-being, and connection. Before joining Sodexo, Ganci held leadership positions with Marriott International and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Society of Hospitality and Foodservice Management (SHFM).

Earlier this month, the company announced that Delaporte will also assume leadership of Sodexo’s North America business for a period of time, starting January 1, 2026. Ganci’s appointment comes at an inflection point as the company begins a focused turnaround of its U.S. business, its largest and most strategically important market.
