Metro Development Group Unveils New Lagoon Design and Opens Seaire Welcome Center in Manatee County

PARRISH, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Metro Development Group announced today that 15 percent of all planned homes in Seaire are already sold, a milestone that highlights strong buyer demand and sets Seaire apart.

This early momentum set the stage for a significant milestone celebration, as Metro officially opened the Seaire Welcome Center and unveiled brand-new renderings of the enhanced four-acre lagoon. Local leaders, builder and commercial partners joined Metro onsite to mark the next phase of progress for the 1,155-acre development.

The event brought together local leaders, builders, and commercial partners to celebrate progress on Seaire, located just off Moccasin Wallow Road, minutes from I-75.

Metro unveiled new renderings highlighting enhanced amenities that will make Seaire’s lagoon a destination. The four-acre amenity will include:

• An in-water obstacle course for climbing and exploring
• A swim-up bar with in-water seating and lounge area
• A large double water slide designed to be enjoyed by kids and adults
• Exclusive VIP area called Cabana Cove with a private bar
• A stage and shaded area with a large screen for movies, games and events
• Kayak and paddleboard rentals
• Private day-rental cabanas
• A sandy beach for that true inland coastal living experience!

Construction of the lagoon is currently underway with a target completion of Memorial Day 2026.

Metro and Casto, their commercial partner, provided a progress update on the businesses coming to Seaire.

Representatives from BayCare also announced that they expect to have the health club portion of the new facility open late next summer.

As Metro’s fifth lagoon community, Seaire will include approximately 3,000 homes by premier builders D.R. Horton, DRB Homes, Dream Finders Homes, Lennar, M/I Homes, Perry Homes, and Pulte Homes.
