Lyons & Simmons Attorneys Honored on Lists of Texas Super Lawyers, Rising Stars

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Six attorneys with Lyons & Simmons, LLP have been recognized among the top attorneys in the state for 2025 on the lists of both Texas Super Lawyers and Rising Stars.

Mr. Lyons is ranked as a Top 100 Lawyer in Texas for the third time in recent years and has been featured on the Texas Super Lawyers list for expertise in personal injury law annually since his eligibility began in 2013.

Michael Lyons, Chris Simmons, and Chris Carr are named Texas Super Lawyers honorees for their work on behalf of plaintiffs in personal injury litigation. Stephen Higdon and Michael Fechner Jr. are acknowledged in that same practice area on the list of Rising Stars, which honors the achievements of lawyers early in their careers.

Appearing on the Texas Super Lawyers list for the first time, Wes Black is recognized for his appellate work.

Mr. Lyons is ranked as a Top 100 Lawyer in Texas for the third time in recent years and has been featured on the Texas Super Lawyers list for expertise in personal injury law annually since his eligibility began in 2013, now reaching his 13^th consecutive year.

Mr. Simmons is named to the list of Texas Super Lawyers for the fourth time, after previous recognition on the Rising Stars list for eight consecutive years.

Mr. Carr was selected for the 16^th time. He represents injured plaintiffs in catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death cases. He also represents businesses and individuals in high-dollar and complex business disputes

Mr. Black has briefed and argued cases before both state and federal appellate courts, including numerous Texas Courts of Appeals, the Texas Supreme Court, and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.

This is the eighth year that Mr. Higdon has earned recognition as a Rising Star. He also has been honored as one of the 500 Leading Plaintiff Consumer Lawyers by Lawdragon and has been featured on D Magazine’s list of the region’s Best Lawyers Under 40.

Mr. Fechner, who is recognized on the Rising Stars list for the third consecutive year, focuses on representing plaintiffs in complex catastrophic personal injury cases and business disputes.
