Association for Consumer Debt Relief Welcomes Michael Lukso as Head of Government Affairs

WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Association for Consumer Debt Relief (ACDR), the leading advocate for the debt relief industry nationwide, is pleased to welcome Michael Lukso as its new Head of Government Affairs.

Lukso brings to ACDR a strong track record of shaping public discourse and driving policy outcomes in some of the most high-profile debates in Washington, D.C., and state capitals nationwide. He most recently served as Director for the Americas on Kraken Digital Asset Exchange’s policy and government relations team, where he led legislative and regulatory advocacy. Before that, he was Vice President of Government Affairs at the American Investment Council, where he helped lead federal and state advocacy on behalf of the private equity and private credit industries, highlighting their role in driving investment and growth across all 50 states.

“I am excited to join ACDR and support its mission to expand consumer choice and support effective debt relief solutions,” said Lukso. “At a time when so many American families are facing financial strain, it is more important than ever to advance alternatives that provide meaningful relief and lasting results for those addressing financial challenges.”

“Mike brings a proven ability to navigate complex policy and regulatory landscapes, from Capitol Hill to the private sector,” said Jason Mulvihill, President and Chief Executive Officer of ACDR. “His deep experience leading successful advocacy efforts will be invaluable as we work to ensure the debt relief industry continues to provide consumers with positive solutions.”

As Head of Government Affairs, Lukso will lead ACDR’s federal and state advocacy efforts and advance the association’s work to educate stakeholders about the benefits of accredited debt relief services nationwide.

Earlier in his career, Lukso served as a senior advisor to several members of the U.S. House Financial Services Committee, becoming a trusted voice on politics and policy for key leaders in Congress. His legislative experience provided him with a deep understanding of Congress and expertise in financial services and economic policy.
