Chelsea Lighting Welcomes Ryan Moss as Senior Vice President of Operations

Chief Operating Officer Robert Bazan also transitions to Special Advisory role following nine years of leadership

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Chelsea Lighting, a leading national lighting fixture and controls technology distributor, announced two leadership updates. Ryan Moss has been appointed Senior Vice President of Operations, and longtime Chief Operating Officer Robert “Bob” Bazan will transition into a Special Advisory role at the organization. These changes mark a strategic evolution as the company continues to scale nationally and strengthen its operations team.

“We’re very excited to welcome Ryan to the team. His experience running operations for large organizations, including lighting manufacturers, will really help shape our processes as we move into an exciting period of growth. He brings a thoughtful and focused approach to continuous improvement and productivity enhancement,” said Sean Lafferty, Chief Executive Officer of Chelsea Lighting. “At the same time, I can’t thank Bob enough for his leadership over the last nine years. He built a terrific project delivery team that is chock full of talented people who are in their prime of 5–10 years of lighting project delivery. We’re very fortunate to have his ongoing support as we move through this transition.”

Moss brings more than 18 years of experience driving operational excellence across the lighting, manufacturing and technology sectors. In this new role, he will oversee Chelsea Lighting’s operations, with a focus on process improvement, supply chain strategy and scalable growth. He joins the firm following leadership roles at AstrodyneTDI, Avionic Instruments and Mobern Lighting, where he led multi-site operations and delivered sustained improvements in revenue, productivity and delivery performance.

“I’m thrilled to step into this role and contribute to Chelsea’s continued momentum,” said Ryan Moss, incoming Senior Vice President of Operations at Chelsea Lighting. “This is a company with strong values, talented people and a clear commitment to delivering exceptional service. I look forward to building on that foundation—streamlining operations, strengthening our processes and helping our teams scale for what’s next.”

Bazan joined Chelsea Lighting in 2016 and has played a pivotal role in elevating the firm’s service delivery, technology integration and people development. A retired Navy Captain, he brought decades of leadership and operational expertise to the company, following roles at Cooper Lighting, WAC Lighting and Apogee Translite. He will continue to contribute strategic guidance and mentorship in his advisory position.

This leadership evolution comes as Chelsea continues to expand nationally. In 2022, the firm opened offices in Chicago and Fort Lauderdale. Through end customer relationships at the Board level and supported by Chicago-based private equity partner Kinzie Capital Partners, Chelsea continues to grow its National Accounts business.
