Princess Polly Becomes a Certified B Corporation

The Australian-born fashion brand earns socially responsible business recognition

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--a.k.a. Brands Holding Corp. (NYSE: AKA), a portfolio of next generation fashion brands, today announced that Princess Polly has been certified by the nonprofit B Lab as a B Corporation™ (B Corp™). This designation recognizes Princess Polly as meeting high standards of social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency. The certification spans the entire Princess Polly business and reflects the brand’s ongoing mission of making on-trend fashion sustainable and accessible, as well as its commitment to making a positive difference in its communities and the fashion industry as a whole.

“We are deeply honored that Princess Polly’s commitment to purpose-driven practices has been recognized with a B Corp™ Certification,” said Eirin Bryett, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Princess Polly. “This is an incredible accomplishment, and it marks a significant step in our ongoing journey to embed sustainability and purpose into every part of our business. We’re proud of the progress we’ve made and remain committed to continuously improving and holding ourselves to high standards in everything we do.”

With today’s announcement, Princess Polly joins a global community of like-minded companies committed to using business as a force for good. B Corp™ Certification provides the brand with a clear framework to accelerate its continued shift toward a socially and environmentally responsible model, and to stay true to its mission and values for the long term.

Princess Polly’s vision is grounded in four core impact areas: Ethical Partnerships, Equality & Community, Sustainability and Environment. On the product side, Princess Polly is scaling the use of certified lower-impact materials across collections through tools like the Lower Impact Fabric Hub, a resource to help suppliers integrate preferred materials into production, and the Materials Matrix, a decision-making tool making it easier for design and buying teams to opt for sustainable materials at every stage of production. All Princess Polly garments are also subject to stringent testing to ensure durability, fit and finish, maintaining high quality standards.

Princess Polly also works closely with its supply chain partners to actively reduce carbon emissions, promote circularity and uphold ethical sourcing, ensuring that standards follow the brand’s award-winning 5A’s of Ethical Sourcing framework, advancing beyond compliance to create lasting, positive impact.

The brand also fulfilled its B Corp™ Certification through several meaningful initiatives that support its customers, employees, partners and the planet, including Pathway to Parenthood, which provides team members support through family planning and parenting with paid reproductive health and parental leave, flexible work options and a culture of care and inclusion to help team members thrive at every stage of family life.

Acting CEO for B Lab AANZ, Angie Farrugia said: "We’re excited to welcome Princess Polly to the global community of nearly 10,000 B Corps™. In an industry facing complex social and environmental challenges, their B Corp™ Certification signals a serious commitment to raising fashion industry standards and prioritizing outcomes for people and the planet, alongside profit. After a two-year journey to this milestone, we commend Princess Polly's determination and willingness to be held accountable to high standards, now and into the future."
