“This expansion positions us to handle larger vessels and more complex projects while exceeding environmental standards,” said Svendsen’s Bay Marine President Bill Elliott. “We are meeting growing demand from both recreational and commercial clients.”

Key new features include:

  • High-tech Yacht Paint Booth – eco-friendly and accommodates vessels up to up to 75 ft.
  • New Remote-controlled Travel Lift (100-ton capacity)
  • Expanded engine, rigging, and metal shops
  • New floating docks and extended berths for larger vessels

The new paint booth features HEPA filtration, capturing overspray and particulates, and all infrastructure exceeds local, state, and federal environmental compliance standards.

The boatyard serves a range of clients, including the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, U.S. Coast Guard, California Maritime Academy, Hornblower Cruises, California State Parks and San Francisco Police Department, among others.

Grand Opening Celebration Saturday, June 21, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. -- the public is invited to enjoy facility tours, equipment demos, exhibits, and refreshments. Guests can enter a drawing for a chance to win a free boat haul-out and bottom painting.
