D.A. Davidson Names Eric Stetler as Head of Diversified Industrials Group, Investment Banking

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--D.A. Davidson & Co. today announced that Eric Stetler has been named Head of the Diversified Industrials Group while continuing his role as Head of Mergers & Acquisitions within the firm’s Investment Banking division. In this role, Stetler will lead the group’s strategy, working closely with both private and institutional backed clients across the platform. He has played a key role in building out the Diversified Industrials platform through sector coverage and local office expansion, including leading numerous high-impact transactions and strengthening private equity and corporate relationships.

Stetler, who joined D.A. Davidson in March 2021, brings nearly two decades of experience in investment banking with a deep focus on the industrials sector. His leadership and impact were quickly recognized, culminating in his appointment as Head of Mergers & Acquisitions across the investment banking department in 2024.

“Eric is a proven leader and a highly respected voice in the industrials space,” said Rory McKinney, President of Equity Capital Markets at D.A. Davidson. “Since joining the firm, he’s helped significantly expand our presence in the middle market. His appointment signals our commitment to investing in talent and building a best-in-class advisory platform for our clients. We see a tremendous opportunity within the industrials space to continue capturing market share.”

Stetler has advised on 125 successful transactions across industrial technology, machinery & equipment, specialty distribution, and advanced manufacturing. He has a deep understanding of the unique needs of private equity clients and will play a central role in further strengthening D.A. Davidson’s presence in sponsor-led dealmaking.

“D.A. Davidson’s growth trajectory, culture of collaboration, and relentless focus on client success made this an easy transition to lead this group going forward,” said Stetler. “The Diversified Industrials team is already well-recognized in the market, and I’m excited to build on that momentum—especially in helping private equity partners and entrepreneurs navigate growth and liquidity events.”

The Diversified Industrials Group at D.A. Davidson has experienced record performance over the past two years, with significant increases in deal volume, sponsor-backed transactions, and capital markets activity. With Stetler at the helm, the group is poised to accelerate its upward trajectory and continue attracting top-tier talent and clients across the country.
