USA Today Names Joyce University of Nursing and Health Sciences a 2025 Top Workplace

SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--USA Today has selected Joyce University of Nursing and Health Sciences as a Top Workplaces awardee for the second consecutive year.

This national recognition underscores Joyce University’s commitment to a positive workplace culture as it continues to drive its mission to provide accessible, high-quality nursing education. Locally, Utah Business Magazine named Joyce University one of the state’s 2024 Best Companies to Work For, also for the second year in a row.

USA Today’s Top Workplaces program has a 16-year history of surveying more than 20 million employees and recognizing the top organizations across 60 markets for regional Top Workplaces, Top Workplaces Culture Excellence Awards, and Top Workplaces USA.

“It’s an honor to once again be chosen as Top Workplaces recipient,” said Joyce University President and CEO, Dr. John Smith-Coppes. “We work hard to create a supportive environment where students and employees alike can thrive. We know we are achieving our goal when everyone feels valued and empowered to be their best selves at work.”

Founded in 1979, Joyce University is one of Utah’s largest nursing institutions and prioritizes attracting and retaining highly experienced nurse educators and university staff. Workplace initiatives focus on fostering a strong, flexible, and engaging employee culture.

"At Joyce University, we recognize that a thriving workplace starts with investing in our people," said Ann Johnson, Vice President of People & Culture. "As we continue to prioritize employee wellness and foster opportunities for personal and professional growth, we are intentional about cultivating a culture where our team feels supported, valued, and empowered to excel."

Top Workplaces USA celebrates organizations with 150+ employees that have built great cultures. More than 42,000 organizations were invited to participate in the survey. Winners were chosen based solely on employee feedback gathered independently through a survey issued by Energage.

“Earning a Top Workplaces award is a badge of honor for companies, especially because it comes authentically from their employees,” said Eric Rubino, Energage CEO. “That's something to be proud of. In today's market, leaders must ensure they’re allowing employees to have a voice and be heard. That's paramount. Top Workplaces do this, and it pays dividends.”
