Impact Health Sharing Surpasses $15 Million in Payments of Members’ Eligible Medical Bills

The not-for-profit health sharing organization reports double-digit membership growth

MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Impact Health Sharing (Impact), a health care sharing organization based in Davie, Florida, announced that as of March 1, 2024, it has paid more than $15 million of eligible medical bills on behalf of Impact members since its inception in 2020.

“We continue to experience double-digit membership growth, month-over-month,” says Phil Chrysler, CEO of the not-for-profit organization. “New memberships in February 2024 were 61% above February 2023. Our community has quickly grown to more than 13,000 total lives.”

With health insurance premiums, deductibles and out-of-pocket-costs rising annually, there’s growing interest among entrepreneurs and small businesses in health care sharing, an affordable alternative to traditional health insurance plans.

Impact’s community of members agree to pay eligible medical expenses for other members. Each member chooses a Primary Responsibility Amount – comparable to an insurance deductible – that fits their family budget. Eligible medical expenses are paid anonymously from member to member, with distinct technology sophistication, transparency, and oversight in detailed monthly reports.

Membership is open to any faithful persons who are interested in sharing and saving on their healthcare. “Our members are individuals and small business owners who have found a better healthcare solution for their families and organizations. They are joining the Impact community - and staying - because it is comprehensive, accessible, secure, and inclusive. We are on target to pay more than $8 Million of eligible medical bills on behalf of Impact members in 2024,” adds Phil.
