Cushman & Wakefield Expands Retail Expertise with Appointments of Jessica Gangoso and Kristen Pash

The new retail leaders will enhance Cushman & Wakefield’s global offerings and expand its capacity to deliver innovative, curated tenant strategies

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cushman & Wakefield (NYSE: CWK), a global leader in commercial real estate services, today announced two key appointments within its Retail platform, underscoring the firm’s continued investment in retail growth and innovation. Jessica Gangoso has joined Cushman & Wakefield’s Retail platform as Vice President, Emerging Brands and Kristen Pash has been appointed Senior Director of Shopping Center Leasing and Development for North America.

Together, Pash and Gangoso will advance Cushman & Wakefield’s commitment to creating and curating meaningful retail environments that bring people and communities together. Their leadership reflects a growing focus on blending data-driven insights, design, and experience to help clients redefine the role of retail in mixed-use and lifestyle destinations across the Americas.

“Jessica and Kristen each bring an exceptional blend of strategic vision, global retail relationships, and proven execution capabilities that will be invaluable to our clients," said Barrie Scardina, President of Americas Retail Services. “Jessica’s retail expertise and proven success in growing emerging and innovative brands make her a key addition to our retail platform. Her strategic vision and cross-border experience will strengthen Cushman & Wakefield’s retail capabilities across Canada and the Americas. Kristen’s international experience delivering complex redevelopment projects and her deep understanding of both landlord and retailer perspectives position her perfectly to lead our North American shopping center leasing platform.”

Based in Vancouver, Gangoso brings an innovative approach to retail real estate and a strategic vision that will strengthen the firm’s capabilities for both new and existing clients. Gangoso brings more than 20 years of expertise in retail and real estate, spanning acquisitions, land development, leasing, and consulting. She has led global expansion efforts for high-profile brands, significantly scaling store footprints and revenue. In 2020, she founded Vela Retail Advisors, consulting for top-tier brands and offering end-to-end retail services from real estate to marketing and growth strategy. She collaborated with brands to support capital allocations, store development process, and new store opening project management. Jessica will partner with Alanna Loeffler, Managing Director of Business Strategy, who leads Cushman & Wakefield’s Digitally Native Brand Group to bring emerging brands to market.

“I’m honored to join Cushman & Wakefield and excited to help accelerate the firm’s vision for the future of retail,” Gangoso said. “Throughout my career, I’ve been passionate about creating retail strategies that meaningfully connect brands with the communities they serve. I look forward to partnering with our teams across the Americas to deliver thoughtful, data-driven solutions that elevate the customer experience and support our clients’ long-term growth.”

Pash joins Cushman & Wakefield from The Shopping Center Group, where she was Vice President, consulting on development opportunities, incorporating international experience and clients for multi-use and re-use projects, and working with retailers across the U.S. and Europe. Previously, Pash was a Senior Executive at Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield in London for more than a decade, overseeing leasing strategy for two of Europe's premier retail destinations, Westfield London and Westfield Stratford City. Prior to her time in London, Pash was Vice President of Leasing for Westfield America, where she spent over 12 years with the company, and led leasing strategy for flagship properties.

“I am excited to join Cushman & Wakefield in this new role and look forward to working with the firm’s best-in-class teams to apply my experience into a high-performing, cross-functional platform for landlords to build powerful, purposeful retail environments that deliver long-term value – and meaningful places for communities to engage and thrive,” Pash said.

Pash will integrate retail tenant curation and leasing with Cushman & Wakefield's broader service offerings – including Consulting, Capital Markets, Valuation & Advisory, Project & Development Services, and Asset Services – to deliver holistic solutions to institutional landlords and developers that elevate the consumer experience and maximize asset value.

“I’m excited to broaden our client services and empower our team to create meaningful impact as the evolution of retail continues,” Scardina added. “It ensures that Cushman & Wakefield remains at the forefront of delivering innovative, integrated solutions that help our clients thrive in a rapidly changing marketplace.”
